More green, blue and stress

Time is ticking down, we have moving truck scheduled for Friday and must be out of the rental by Sunday.   We still have no septic and the work has not started!   Remaining laundry list of little items are slowly getting knocked out.

They finished the pool surface and filled with water on Saturday.   Main pump is running and rest of the system will be setup this week.   Sod was laid and some plants and landscape stones were added around the house.    Septic is still not installed :-(    We did start to move some items into the house and will be hitting it hard starting on Wednesday.

Stress levels are increasing!

Things are progressing, but we still have not gotten the go ahead on the septic.  With the crazy growth and building industry down here, there is a tremendous backlog in the county issuing permits.   Combine that with a filing error on our survey and it has been causing us heartburn.   It looks like we should be clear soon, but it cannot come soon enough.   Most likely not going to be ready when we move in.

However it is good to see front steps, a mantle, carpet and some more landscaping work done.

Things are going to be tight

We are supposed to start moving next weekend and things are going to be tight in getting it all finished.   Majority of the interior work is done, there are a few faucets that were backordered, some  paint and drywall touch ups and polishing of the floors and installation of the carpet.  

Outside the pool continues and will get the final finish installed this week.   They plan on having it started up by the time we move.   The yard is graded, flower beds installed and the irrigation system is in.   We will add some sod and plant over the next few weeks.

Biggest challenge is the septic is still not installed.   If all goes as planned, it will start at the end of this week.

The countdown has begun!

We are only two weeks away from when we can start moving stuff in.   There is still a good amount of work to do, but there is great progress happening every day.   Our biggest challenge right now is the septic, there have been some delays due to county processing issues with the permit.   It's going to be a fast install once clearance is granted.

Outside grading, flower boxes and pool work continue.  Inside we are 98% complete with only touch up, punch list and odd/ends for the trades to finish up.

Planters, Pool and Flatwork

Outside work continued this week with pool, planters and prep for flatwork.   The yard was also cleaned up.    Inside counter tops continue and trim out work by plumbers and electricians.      Lots of items on the schedule for this week, both inside and outside.

Down to the Final Four!

Four weeks that is!   We are scheduled to be moving out of our house the last week of August and there is a lot yet to do.   So it is crunch time for everyone working on the house.   Tile work, hardwood floors are done.  Electrician is almost finished and counter tops and plumbing started this week.  Pool is moving along and outside work to clean up, grade and install planters around house is starting.
